But I think more of us appreciate the tactile experience of being in the world, and that's the one thing that we should never forget.Īs seductive as the virtual world can be – where there are fewer boundaries, where you can be anything, and you can be anyone – there's something very important about the tactile world and being grounded in the tactile world.
Certainly, there are people who are willing to just abandon the physical artifact – whether it's books or anything else – and just live in a virtual world. And I think we should trust humanity and trust people a little bit more. There's something about a tangible artifact that people love.
